We've all been underwhelmed eating "hotel food" but that wasn't the case here. In all the years we've been staying at the Marriott, we turned our nose up and dined elsewhere. But after a full day of running around in the rain, this suddenly seemed appealing to us. Bonus - Early Bird Dinner had three courses for $19. We had a drink and an app in the bar the evening before, and it was a $70 bill. This is a bargain. The dining room is very well done, and the service was excellent. I started with She Crab soup, and it was perfect. Hubby had a salad, then a steak. I had a Vegetarian Terraine - beautiful and delish. Then we went to two different desserts and shared. One was a Key Lime Roll which rolled our eyes it was so good. Bananas Foster was nothing to complain about either. This was fine dining, make no mistake about that. It came as no surprise to us when locals wandered in and were greeted as regulars. I also like the open kitchen. I love knowing how clean it is where my food is being prepared. All around this was a great experience - it has the Libby V. seal of approval.

My wife had the soup of the day! The waiter: we are running out of table spoons here is a coffee spoon, use this! Never heard this before in my entire life! Check the check twice! The day before I had a Cesar's chicken salat, the chicken was raw in the middle! The waitress changed it out for another raw piece. The beer was ok! Try it out by yourself ! Maybe they had a bad day but I cannot recommend this place.

I was a definitely underwhelmed by the experience here, especially since most Marriott restaurants I've been in have been fantastic. Service was slow, and it was difficult to flag our waiter even though it wasn't busy. Food was okay (I had the lamb), not amazing nor terrible, but felt overpriced. I also dined at the Marriott's outdoor Blu restaurant -- similar experience there, especially with regards to service. There are better places to eat around here, I recommend walking down the street a few minutes to Alexanders to get a much better dining experience.

We eat here a few years ago and my husband could not wait to get back. So we decided (against my advice) to return. Here is my list of what was not right; The waiter asked us twice about our order, which he wrote down The She Crab soup was good, but it came with a film on it. Obviously it had been sitting for a while. The Caesar Salad had a a gallon of dressing on it. The Main course was fine. But, the waiter NEVER check on us. The waiter then asked us, again, what we ordered for dessert . The dessert was basically ice cream with a LOT of sauce on it. At the end the waiter threw the bill on our table and said " you can just sign and put it on the room". Needless to say, not a great experience. And not anything like our last visit, a few years ago. I would not recommend it with so many GREAT restaurants on the island.

Day 1 of vacation road trip - 3 new dining spots! Part 3 of 3: dinner We ate dinner tonite at our Hilton Head Marriott's restaurant, Conroy's. After a long drive and dinner plans off property tomorrow, we opted for this over room service. They offered an early bird (6 to 7:30 pm) menu of three courses for $19.99. They started with bread service that had a nice little selection. I started with she-crab soup. This soup was rich and delicious. Definitely a good choice. The hubs had New England clam chowder. He said the soup had great flavor. My entree was grouper with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish was seasoned perfectly and the sauce had a light flavor of bourbon. The hubs had shrimp scampi and pasta. Mmmm feta! I finished with Conroy's key lime log. This dessert was so good, I almost licked the plate. But, being in the South, the belles at the next table would not have been amused. The hubs enjoyed the bananas foster. The regular menu is a bit pricey but there are several on property sites to enjoy an equally good and affordable family meal.

We ate in the bar area of Conroy's two nights in a row and had nearly identical experiences both nights. Service was not good. Was it crowded? Yes. But it was Spring Break weekend, so they should have had more staff available to wait on the diners/customers in anticipation of having a full house. We had to constantly prompt the staff to refill our water glasses, bring drinks we had ordered, and bring us our check when we were done. In general, the waitresses we encountered seemed a little "clueless." I ordered the pasta primavera both nights. It was very good, but a little overpriced at $21 for pasta and vegetables.

Weird service. Walked up and told "no servers due to reservations". Restaurant was empty but when arriving 5 servers standing at host station. Moved to bar area to eat. Fine service but nothing exceptional.

Pricey place for dinner for mediocre food and awkward service. - Potato leek soup: bland - Conroy's house salad: overdrenched with dressing, but tasty - Crab cake dinner: a little burnt, dry but good flavor, spinach was drenched in dressing - Rosemary lemon chicken: nothing to rave about, chicken was dry and they overcompensated with extra extra butter. - Mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful.

I don't agree with the negative reviews. We had such good experiences we returned each of the three nights we stayed at this Marriott. That is not typical of my wife and I and our best traveling companions. Jeff was our server and did an excellent job. The four of us like to order different things and share but I had the She Crab soup every night. Very rich and filling. The best bisque-type soup I've ever tasted. BLT salad was great also. Food was served piping hot. The entire staff, including hotel employees, go over the top and delivered beyond our expectations. The early bird special from 5 to 6:30 p.m. is $19.99 and includes salad, entry and dessert. The Key Lime Log was OK but lacked flavor. Bananas Foster was far better.

Went to Conroy's as we were staying at the Marriott. Upon entering, we had to wait as our table was "set"--which made no sense as the restaurant was empty. As we were seated, the hostess unfolded our napkins and placed them on our laps--interesting. Our server introduced himself, and we ordered the Ahi Tuna as an appetizer and I ordered lamb for my entree. The tuna came out in about 20 minutes after some bread--very slow. It was pretty good, although it wasn't anything special. Just cut tuna. The entree took another half hour to come out--totally unacceptable and slow. We told a manager who told us she'd take care of our entire meal--how nice (hence the second star this place earned). My lamb was pretty bad--bitter and tough and fatty. Nobody else particularly liked their dinner. Conroy's also gave us free dessert, and the "molten" lava cake had no molten in it. It was hot chocolate cake with chocolate syrup. Come on. Later that evening, both my mom and I got an upset stomach from the food as well. Service was fine--the gentleman serving us was good but not great. The folks in the kitchen (you can see them) move extremely slow, though. This place is definitely not worth the high price tag.

This restaurant is worth visiting. We had dinner on 11/22/2012 and we re-visited again on 11/23/2012 which is rare .. As we are all picky , atleast i am too picky with food, since i love only Certain Vegetarian food - South Indian and it was not easy to please so quickly. They did travel extra mile. 1. Julia - from South Korea she is really great for food and beverage- Conroy - outstandiing work ethics, really runs to get things done for any customer at a fast pace. Really a great asset for hospitality industry 2. Elisa- who goes out of the way as well - really cares and works and comes and delivers to the room as a great . She is a great and talks logic, might look tough, great management working style. 3. Shawn manages the bar and what not he is a great supervisor as well. This is a great place to hang out if we like to have a cool, calm, really warmth, pleasant restaurant for dinners
